Since Justin only made mention of the arrival of our new car in his post, I will elaborate on the subject since it has "rocked my world".
As you have probably gathered by now from reading this blog, we spend a lot of time in the car thanks to the traffic around town. Now imagine spending all this time in the car with 3 or sometimes 4 loud kids. And when the whole family is in the car, which happened on our trip to the safari, it is definitely a clown car type of experience.
So we ordered our Nissian Serena probably about a month ago with the hopes that we would be able to fit 3 car seats in the back row, giving the adult in the middle row an actual seat.
The car arrived on Friday after we returned from the safari. After some pushing and shoving, we emerged from the car victorious with 3 car seats in the back row. It was a thing of beauty. And to top it off the car has 3 DVD screens installed in it, 2 in headrests and 1 in the front console. I never knew how much I could enjoy kids movies. It has definitely quieted the car ride down. That is after the initial arguing and crying over who gets to sit in the middle row seat closest to the DVD screen.
Now with the more spacious interior, comfortable seats and DVD player, it almost makes all the time in the car enjoyable. It still doesn't compare to my Odyssey though.
