Week 2

Well, our second week in the states is drawing to a close. Don't have as many pictures to share this time but our week was still filled with activity.

We started our second week with a return trip to Carmel. We were only there a couple nights but the boys managed to play 2 rounds of golf (I joined in for 1 and Debbie for the other), more baseball on the beach and at a local playground, sand angels and another flower photo safari (the first one was in Phuket). Here are a couple of pictures.

We returned to Alamo on Monday night and have spent the rest of our week here. Highlights from our week include...

- doctors appointments for me (fun.fun.)

- playing with Brooke and Jessica (They are the best babysitters!!)

- swimming in Mamaw and Grandpa's frigid pool (My warm Indonesian blood can't take water temps below 90. Here they ranged between 78-82. Brrrr!! Needless to say, I didn't get in but the boys had fun.)
- visiting Grandpa's office (The boys always come home with cool new Chevron cars.)

- shopping!!!

- go to the movies to see "Up"

- learning wrestling moves from Grandpa

- participating in a little "community service" with Mamaw

- eating a sweet McDonald's happy meal, made by Mamaw's friend Dorothy McDonald. (These cute and yummy treats will definitely be making an appearance at our 4th of July celebration and/or next school year's UN Day celebration.)

- seeing another new birth, This time it is a new baby bird.

Kyle will be joining our happy group this afternoon sometime and he will join the boys and I on our flight to Houston early tomorrow morning. Next time I check in we will be in the great state of Texas. Yeehaw!! (And Justin, this time I will try not to go into too much description about the mouth-watering, delicious, oh-so-yummy Mexican food we are eating ;).)
